Here at Wright Tri Club we discuss topics of all kinds. Money, poverty, welfare, everything under the sun that sparks peoples interests. We try and stay away from talking Politics or Religion. There are enough other topics to discuss without bringing these two up. We definitely aren’t saying some of the other topics like Poverty are easier to talk about, they’re just a little more interesting.
Or how about another of my favorites “Welfare” What is the definition of welfare exactly? Wikipedia describes it as this ” Welfare is a provision of the minimal level of well-being and social support for all people, sometimes referred to as public aid. In most countries welfare is a largely provided assistance by their governement, and to a lesser extend, charities, informal groups of social kind, religious groups and inter-governmental organizations.
Well my definition may differ just a little bit, but we won’t go into that right now. What’s your opinion?
Let’s talk a little bit about poverty. Or better yet let’s hear from Wikipedia first. Their definition is: Poverty is a general scarcity, dearth, or the state of one who lacks a certain amount of material possessions or money. It is a multifaceted concept, which includes social, economic, and political elements. Poverty may be defined as either absolute or relative.
This sounds similar to the welfare definition. Like the two could possibly be related, distant cousins or such. It is something we shouldn’t make fun of as it’s real as the rain that falls from the sky. Some of these people didn’t have the same options as those on welfare. It’s heartbreaking when you see little children born into it, then passing it onto their children. Most don’t know any different. It’s what they have always known and been taught to accept.
Ok, let’s get off the sad subject and talk about something happy. Who likes Grandma’s chocolate chip cookies 🙂
